Our programming emphasizes a total environment concept with the understanding that many factors affect the healthy growth and development of children and families. Through collaboration with the community organizations we provide training, professional development and mentoring to nurture the mental, social intellectual and physical needs of every individual.
Professional Development
We provide staff training on-site through our non-profit branch Loving Arms Learning Center. Our executive director, LaFarris L. Risby, CFLE, delivers various training programs for parents, home-based and center-based childcare providers, including:
• Preparation for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Parenting with Love and Logic
• Responsive Discipline
• Ruby Payne's Bridges out of Poverty
• American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED
• Preventing Disease Transmission (HIV/AIDS)
And a host of other learning opportunities for children and families.
