Volunteers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all proprietary or privileged
information to which they are exposed while serving as a volunteer and/or intern at LOVING ARMS
Learning Center/Child Care and Preschool (“LOVING ARMS”), whether this information involves a
staff member, volunteer, client, or other person or involves overall personal information. Failure to
maintain confidentiality may result in termination of the volunteer's/intern’s relationship with
LOVING ARMS and/or other corrective action.
Dismissal (Please type your initials to indicate agreement to policy)
Volunteers and/or interns who do not adhere to the rules and procedures set forth by LOVING ARMS
or who fail to satisfactorily perform their volunteer /internship assignment are subject to dismissal.
No volunteer/intern will be terminated until the volunteer/intern has had an opportunity to discuss
the reasons for possible dismissal with supervisory staff. Possible grounds for dismissal may include,
but are not limited to, the following: gross misconduct or insubordination, theft of property or misuse
of LOVING ARMS materials, abuse or mistreatment of clients, staff or other volunteers/interns, failure
to abide by LOVING ARMS policies and procedures, and failure to satisfactorily perform assigned
duties. Notice of discontinuing participation in the LOVING ARMS Volunteer/Internship Program
should be communicated as soon as possible to the volunteer’s supervisor.
Service Selection (Please type your initials to indicate agreement to policy)
LOVING ARMS accepts the service of all selected volunteers/interns with the understanding that such
service is at the sole discretion of LOVING ARMS. Volunteers/interns agree that LOVING ARMS may at
any time, for whatever reason, choose to terminate the volunteer's/intern’s relationship with LOVING
ARMS.
By submitting this application, I affirm that the facts set forth in it are true and complete. I understand that if I am
accepted as a volunteer and/or intern, any false statements, omissions, or other misrepresentations made by me on
this application may result in my immediate dismissal.
