Tornado Plan:
a) Children will be placed in the storm area located in the lower level of the building and maintain a crouch down and cover your head position.
b) Parents will be called as soon as safety allows. The phone will not be answered until all signs are clear so please wait for the center to call you.
Flood Plan:
The Center is not located in a flood area, but if a flood were to occur the children will be taken to higher ground and we would do what emergency personnel directs.
Severe Weather Plan:
a) Listen to the radio (located in each classroom) for weather reports or power outages
b) If weather becomes severe, the center will engage in the tornado action plan
c) The Board of Directors makes the final decision about center closings, early dismissals, and/or delayed starting times
d) The final decision whether or not a child should attend daycare or stay home is the responsibility of the parents.
e) It is not possible to call every parent, therefore announcements regarding center closings, early dismissals, and/or delayed starting times will be made on the following radio stations:

• KMAN- 1350 AM |
| • KQLA- 103.5 FM |
• KJCK- 1420 AM |
f) Announcements regarding center closings will be made no later than 6:00 A.M.
g) Announcements regarding early dismissals will be made as soon as a decision is made to dismiss the center by the Board of Directors
h) Announcements regarding delayed starting times will be made no later than 6:00 A.M. Parents should listen to the radio stations listed above regarding delayed starting times
i) When extreme cold temperatures and dangerous wind chill conditions exists, parents are reminded to dress their children warmly and cover all exposed skin surfaces. Parents are to make the final decision as to weather or not their children should attend daycare
